What is CBD Oil Without THC?

If you are among those who are new to CBD, it may be difficult to wade through all the terminology to determine the CBD products that are right for you. One of the most common concerns from those in this group is whether or not there is THC in CBD oil. Here is the simple breakdown:

Our full-spectrum CBD products contain small amounts of THC (less than 0.3%), but if you are looking for CBD oil without THC, our broad-spectrum CBD products may be the right match for you. First, let’s take a look at the difference between THC and CBD.
THC v. CBD
CBD and THC are both cannabinoids found in hemp and cannabis. Although they have many similarities, they differ in chemical structure and psychoactive effect.
  • Chemical Structure. They appear to have similar molecular profiles at first glance. However, they are arranged slightly different. This is why these two cannabinoids have unique effects on your body and brain.
  • Psychoactive Effects. CBD and THC are both cannabinoids that interact with cannabinoid receptors in the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is your body's major regulatory network. The “high” associated with THC is a result of the way these molecules interact with the cannabinoid receptors in your body. CBD does not interact with these receptors in the same way which is why there is no "high" associated with CBD use.

    Hemp-Derived CBD

CBD can be extracted from hemp or cannabis; however, all our products are hemp-derived products. Legal hemp contains 0.3% THC or less. Even though 0.3% THC is a small amount, some CBD users may want to steer clear of any traces of THC for a myriad of reasons.

Some of these reasons include health, personal beliefs, or jobs that require drug testing. Luckily, CBD without THC exists, and it’s known as broad-spectrum CBD!
What is Broad-Spectrum CBD (THC free CBD)?
CBD is one of the many cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. CBD research is in its early stages and is still ongoing. However, preliminary research indicates that it has therapeutic potential. CBD may be used to treat pain, anxiety, insomnia, and other symptoms.
There are two kinds of THC-free CBD oil available: isolate and broad-spectrum CBD.
Isolate CBD oil contains only CBD so you'll get a pure form of the substance. In true isolate oil, there should be no other cannabinoids other than CBD.
THC is also absent in broad-spectrum CBD oils, but they do contain other cannabinoids and cannabis compounds such as terpenes and flavonoids.
Choosing Safe, High Quality CBD Oil
Like any other medicinal product, it’s important to do thorough research before you make a purchase. Here is a checklist of specific safety and quality criteria our experts deem important:
    • Are the products US grown hemp?
    • Does the company provide proof of third-party testing?
    • Does the certificate of analysis (COA) state that the product contains less than 0.3% THC?
